Bring power, grace, and presence to your ritual work! We will explore both the mystical and the technical aspects of animating ritual through theatre. Beginning with a brief discussion of the history of ritual theatre and some fun exercises to release inhibitions, we will work on developing the “dual awareness” of inner focus and outer energy projection, and finding the personal inner archetypes that connect to deity. Techniques include moving meditation, kinesthetic visualization, theater exercises, journaling and improvisation. This workshop delves into the ways in which we can become more conscious of the invisible energies of our bodies and minds.

An encouraging, supportive and safe environment fostering confidence and body awareness, finding your voice, and becoming present to self, power, and magick!

About Aepril:

About Aepril Schaile: Aepril is Venus ruled; a Taurus with Libra rising. She considers reading for others to be a sacred art form. With 18 years practice, Aepril’s strength is her ability to see clearly beneath the surface into the deep psyche, conveying her insights to you with candor, confidence, and compassion. She is adept at aiding in transitions and crossroads, and with reclaiming power, sexiness, and creative potential. A priestess of the Goddess, Aepril can help you find the Beauty, Meaning, and Light in Darkness. She is exceptionally well-versed in mythology and Archetypal Psychology, enabling her to detect the larger Universal patterns into which we fit. She has the astrological glyph for Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, tattooed over her heart, a testament to her own powers of overcoming tragedy, heart mending, soul-healing, and death and re-birth. The wings tell the story of the spirit rising from the ashes, better than ever! A modern Psychological Astrologer, Aepril taught Astrology at Goddard College, and teaches ongoing classes and workshops. She wrote a weekly Astrology column for a Portland, ME newspaper. Aepril holds an MFA in Interdiscplinary Art; she currently resides in Salem, MA (aka “Witch City”). When not reading for you, Aepril is a Bellydancer, musician and creative artist.

I don’t develop; I am.
—Pablo Picasso

Meaning is invisible, but the invisible is not contradictory of the visible: the visible itself has an invisible inner framework, and the in-visible is the secret counterpart of the visible.
—M. Merleau-Ponty, Working Notes

Is that what they call a vocation, what you do with joy as if you had a fire in your heart, the devil in your body?
